He is former sommelier at Babbo restaurant and the Food and Wine editor of Debonair Magazine. He holds his B.A. in European Studies from New York University and pursuing his Masters Degree in Food Studies at New York University. He holds the Diploma in Wines & Spirits from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, is a Certified Wine Educator by the Society of Wine Educators and is a Certified Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers. He freelances as a writer for various publications including Beverage Media, Inked, Seriouseats, WorksNW. He worked alongside the first female Master of Wine in the US, Mary Ewing-Mulligan at the International Wine Center. He has also worked in Mario Batali's Italian Wine Merchants where he sold wine, acted as a sommelier for private events and made salumi for Mr. Batali's restaurants. At the Italian food and wine publication, Gambero Rosso his services were utilized to set up the prestigious Tre Bicchieri tasting. He is a native New Yorker, has lived throughout Europe and now resides in the West Village. |
