Jacob chose to begin his career in the hospitality industry with Epicurean Group as one member of a three person corporate team. Working directly with the CEO, Jacob has overseen the day-to-day back office operations of Epicurean Group’s beloved neighborhood restaurants (dell’anima, L’Artusi, Anfora) for the past 6 years - from financial reporting and accounting to IT and human resources. In this role, Jacob was able to combine his shared interest in finance and food, having previously spent time working in the hedge fund arena as well as honing his skills as a baker at his favorite NYC bakery, Levain. In this new venture with co-owners Andrew Whitney & Danny Rincon, Jacob looks forward to making dell’anima’s elevated-yet-approachable Italian food even more accessible at Gotham West Market.
Born and raised in Westchester, New York, Jacob graduated from Brown University with dual degrees in Cognitive Psychology and Economics. Off the clock, you can find Jacob on the ice rink playing hockey or rink-side as a diehard Rangers fan.
