Opened in October 2007 in the heart of New York City’s West Village, dell’anima means “of the soul” in Italian and features hearty, eloquent dishes of thoughtful simplicity. Our menu offerings change daily and we use local, seasonal, and sustainably harvested produce where possible.
Executive Chef Andrew Whitney's menu features a selection of pastas made fresh in house every day, traditional dishes rarely found outside of Italy, and his own Italian-inspired creations.
More recently, dell'anima moved to Hell's Kitchen in Gotham West Market just a few blocks away from Times Square on 44th Street and 11th Avenue. dell'anima can accommodate up to 22 guests at our signature Chef's Counter, where guests dine front row with Chef Andrew. When the weather cooperates, grab a seat along our sidewalk, at one of the 10 outdoor bar seats. For those looking for a table, communal seating is always available throughout Gotham West Market, where we happily offer full hospitality. Seats are always available for walk-ins to enjoy a glass of wine and/or eat a whole meal. Whether you're looking to grab a beer after work, eat a panini during your lunch break, carbo load after a day walking the high line or at the intrepid, or have an intimate and exciting culinary experience while catching up with friends or before a Broadway show, dell'anima can offer it all!
